Rentigo takes security seriously. This guide covers the security features available to protect your account and data.

Account Security Basics
Strong Passwords
Rentigo requires passwords that:
- Are at least 12 characters long
- Include uppercase and lowercase letters
- Include numbers
- Include special characters
Use a password manager to generate and store strong, unique passwords.
Email Verification
Your email must be verified to:
- Recover your account
- Receive important notifications
- Enable two-factor authentication
Session Management
Control where you're logged in:

Go to Settings
Navigate to Settings → Security.

View Sessions
See all active sessions and their locations.

End Sessions
Log out from specific devices or end all sessions.
Session Details
Each session shows:
- Device type
- Browser
- Location (approximate)
- Last active time
If you see an unfamiliar session, end it immediately and change your password.
Data Protection
Encryption
- In Transit - TLS 1.3 encryption for all connections
- At Rest - AES-256 encryption for stored data
- Backups - Encrypted backup storage
Data Retention
- Active data kept while your account is active
- Deleted data removed within 30 days
- Backups retained for disaster recovery
Privacy
- Data not sold to third parties
- Minimal data collection
- GDPR compliant
Reporting Security Issues
If you discover a security vulnerability:
- Do not exploit the vulnerability
- Email security@rentigo.com
- Provide details to help us investigate
- We'll respond within 48 hours
