Two-Factor Authentication

Setting up 2FA for extra account security

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a code from your phone in addition to your password.

Why Use 2FA?

Even if someone steals your password, they can't access your account without your phone.

ThreatProtection Level
Password TheftPassword alone won't grant access
PhishingAttackers can't use stolen credentials
Data BreachesLeaked passwords are useless

We strongly recommend enabling 2FA for all landlord accounts. Tenant data deserves protection.

Best Practices

  1. Use a reputable app - Stick to well-known authenticator apps
  2. Backup your app - Some apps can sync across devices
  3. Store backup codes safely - Encrypted storage or physical safe
  4. Don't share codes - Never give your 2FA code to anyone
  5. Update recovery info - Keep your email and phone number current
